Welcome to my new website!
I’m progressively developing this site. The book images below will link to pages here as I create them (already done for The Essential Táin Bó Cúailnge), and otherwise to the publisher’s page.
You can also see my academia.edu page for examples of my work.
My books

Some of my work in progress
- A book under contract with Broadview Press: translations of around twenty Mythological and King Cycle tales from early Irish
- A longstanding book project: a comprehensive history in English of the Breton legend of Ker-Is, the City of Ys
- Another longstanding book project: the medieval French romance of The Marvels of Rigomer, set in Ireland, and the evolution of Celtic influence on medieval Francophone storytelling
- Translations with Sarah-Jane Murray (Baylor University), including several books of the Ovide moralisé into modern French, and Huon de Méry’s Tornoiemenz Antecrit (The Tournament of Antichrist) into English for the first time
- English translations of the classic collections of Breton-language ballads: Théodore Hersart de la Villemarqué’s Barzaz Breiz and François-Marie Luzel’s Gwerziou Breiz-Izel
